Word | Definition |

Coup | A sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government. |
Incite | Urge or persuade (someone) to act in a violent or unlawful way. |
Insurrection | A violent uprising against an authority or government. |
Quid pro quo | A favor or advantage granted or expected in return for something. |
Sedition | Conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch. |
Treason | The offense of attempting to overthrow the government of one's country or of assisting its enemies in war specifically : the act of levying war against the United States or adhering to or giving aid and comfort to its enemies by one who owes it allegiance. |
These words (coup, sedition, insurrection, treason, incite) are being used quite freely since the attack on the Capitol
